In 2024, the New Orleans Saints wanted a Season Identity Film that celebrated the team and the city it calls home. I found inspiration in the fact that early settlers of New Orleans were concerned about burying their dead in a place below sea level. So, as I’m sure you all know, they created above ground cemeteries full of beautiful, elaborate tombs. In NOLA, graveyards are not places to be feared or avoided, they’re places that celebrate local forebears, the people who helped make the city what it is today. Cemeteries are hallowed ground where fallen heroes may rise…to sainthood.
